In general, the costs
of dermal fillers and implants used for facial augmentation
and contouring will depend on the durability of the
material and the skill required to insert it. The longer
it lasts, the greater the cost per treatment. Surgical
procedures are priced higher than non-surgical procedures.
The following costs represent an average. Actual costs
will vary depending on your location, doctor, demand,
etcetera.
Temporary fillers that
last one year or less include the collagen-based Zyderm,
Zyplast, Cosmoderm,
and Cosmoplast. They typically cost up to $500 per
cc. Hyaluronic acid based fillers (like Restylane,
Perlane, Hylaform,
and Juvederm) and the
synthetic material, Newfill
can last twice as long as collagen and are priced up
to $1000 per cc. Cymetra
and Fascian are derived
from human tissue and cost $500 to $1000 per cc, respectively.
Semi-permanent fillers
include Radiance, Alloderm,
or fat grafting.
Radiance costs up to $1200 per cc. Alloderm is typically
charged per procedure rather than by the amount of material
used. A typical charge for Alloderm is $1000 pre treatment
area (e.g. per lip or per nasolabial fold). Fat transfer
fees vary from $1000 to $3000 or more, depending on
the extent of the surgery and the surgeon's experience.
Operating room and anesthesia fees may be additional.
Permanent injectable
fillers like Artecoll,
Aquamid, Isolagen,
Silikon1000 and
Silskin average around
$1500 per cc. Permanent implants such as UltraSoft,
Goretex, and Advanta
used for lip augmentation and contouring require a minor
surgical procedure. The surgeon's fee is typically around
$1000 - $1500 per implant. Operating room and anesthesia
fees may be additional.
